This piece sits in contradiction. Softness held together through structure, or maybe sharp pressure (pun intended). The surface is built through layered fabric, cut and placed, then fixed in place with stitching. Each decision feels both careful and forceful.
I was thinking about what it means to be perceived as gentle while carrying something harder underneath. The image in the background is a flower that I pierced and inserted body jewelry into.
